Do you believe? What an elementary question to ask. I believe most professing believers would be able to give the correct nod when asked basic doctrinal questions. Did Jesus rise form the dead? Check. Did God create the heavens and the earth? Of course. Do you believe the Bible is inerrant? Absolutely! Today, many professing Christians no longer definitively assert that these are true. They either deny or leave room for other beliefs to have credence. I am not addressing this group.

I am addressing you. One who would call yourself a believer and believe the core tenants of the faith. Do you believe? Does your belief affect your life on a day to day basis? Does your belief cost you? Does your belief cause you to look silly at work as you tell others about your beliefs? Does your faith cost you financially? Would you lose everything in this world to stand for your faith? These are critical questions for the day in which we live. Is your faith deep enough that it would cause action which could cost you your job, friends, financial standing, or even your life?

"Do You Believe?" is an excellent illustration of this question and its associated implications in the lives of twelve individuals. When asked this question, twelve individuals are pushed to make a decision that could actually cost them something. Does your faith move you to action? Are you willing to pay a price for your faith? I have watched this film a number of times, and each time it has brought me to tears as I reflect on the reality of my own faith. I know it will do the same to you if you give it an opportunity.
