Typically, I spend about five minutes on my hair and makeup. I've told my husband, "If I die and you remarry, you are going to be bitterly disappointed in how long it takes most females to get ready in the morning. You are spoiled!" However, on our wedding day, I went to my hair dresser, and she spent an hour making my hair extra special. Then, I visited a make-up artist and sat there for forty-five minutes while she pulled out every color and shade she could find. You see, I was a bride preparing to enter into a marriage relationship, and I wanted to look perfect for my husband.

If we have accepted Christ and entered into a personal relationship, we have become part of the Bride of Christ. And just like a bride prepares for her groom, we should be prepared to meet our Savior at any time. We should be walking in a close relationship with Him at all times, daily diving into His Word and seeking Him with all of our hearts.

I am a busy wife, mother, teacher, performer, writer, and more. I know how hard it is to find time to spend with my Savior, but as I get older I realize more and more that we do what we want to do. We make time for what we really want to do. There has been a book on my shelf for years, and I finally decided that I was going to finish it. Guess where I put it. Well, it sits on my toilet. So, I sneak in there and read a tidbit usually daily, and I am almost done reading it. My goal here is not to tell you what I do in my bathroom; I'm simply try to show you that I found a way to read my book. Why? Because I wanted to finish the book.

If you genuinely deem it important to spend time with your Savior, you will find a way to do it. Why? Because that's what you want to do.

So, I challenge you today to find ways to make Christ the main priority in your life. Just like a bride stops and nothing to be perfect for her groom, make sure you take every opportunity to be perfectly pleasing to your Lord.

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

"I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."

Revelation 21:2
